Here’s what’s included:
We will provide healthy snacks for each day and each rider receives a sticker on completion of the 4 days.
And here’s what you’ll need to bring:
Mountain bike – good brakes and shifting ability
Helmets are required on our course and gloves are optional
Close-toed shoes (no sandals or flip-flops)
Weather appropriate clothing
Your child’s bike should have large tread, 2 inch (or larger) tires, with a well functioning shifter, and brakes that your child can easily use.
If your child does not have this type of bike, we have two mountain bikes to rent for younger children for $10/day. For older/taller riders, you can rent a bike from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Currently it costs $10/day, $20 for a weekend and $40 for a week. While your child does not need to be an experienced biker, it is important that they know how to ride a bike on their own. The rest, we will teach them!
We do have a couple kid sized bikes available to rent for $10/day. Please send us a message if you are interested in renting them.
There are bike rentals from the University of Wisconsin River Falls that are available for older/taller riders.
Buying a mountain bike:
If you have are interested in purchasing a mountain bike, we recommend working with Isaac at Crankworx Bike Shop in River Falls.
If a day of camp is cancelled for weather reasons, we will text or email parents by 7:00 AM the morning of, and we will do our best to schedule a make-up day.
If poor weather comes in the middle of our day we may spend the rest of our time inside playing games, learning team building and having fun!
All sales are final. If your schedule changes and you are unable to attend, your enrollment will always be honored with a credit towards future camp dates!
